lassmate because they weren't Korean, and most of them were also older than me. However, as time went by, I realized that they are so kind, and I can learn many things by doing activities in our class.

First, some people are not afraid to speak English, so they started conversation naturally to me. For example, Suguru and I usually arrived at school early, and from the start of the semester, he would always initiate conversations in a gentle, non-intimidating way. Even though it was a really simple question, I could develop my English-speaking skills and gain confidence. Thanks to him, my fear of speaking English gradually faded. Now, I can start a conversation first with my classmate!

Second, when we learned about histroy, and politics, I realized that some people have wide knowledge in various fields. On the other hand, I was not interested in that kind of topic at first, so I usually asked my classmates many questions. Whenever I ask something, even it a really basic one, Sohei always did his best to make me understand by using easy examples really kindly. Thanks to people like Sohei, as the class went on, my general knowledge gradually expanded. I used to have no interest in it at all, but I came to realize how important it really is and decided that I should study on my way.

I was afraid to meet very new people who are different from me in age or country, but now I want to interact with them. One of the best parts of this semester was having the chance to interact with people who come from completely different backgrounds than mine. Through those interactions, I was able to learn things I never would have expected or encountered in my usual environment. It really opened my eyes to new perspective and I’m grateful for that experience. I truly hope that someday, I will have the chance to meet the people I connected with during this semester again.

Impressions of the East Lansing Art Fair

The American-style food from an American food truck, which was quite expensive and salty for me. From Dahyeon: I’d like to tell you something about the East Lansing Art Festival. Memorial Day Weekend by Suguru

Today I’d like to tell you about my weekend off , 25 May. First, Sohei and I went to Don Pancho which i s Mexican food shop in Lansing , and we ate some tacos . It was so delicious . Michigan State Capitol

Do you know that each state in the U.S has its own capitol building , unlike in Korea? In Korea, there is only one National Assembly building in the capital, Seoul. However, In the United States, each state has its own state capitol. This is quite an interesting fact to Koreans. So, I would like to explain you about the capitol of Michigan State in two parts : architectural features and political function and role. The first thing you can see is the exterior of the building. The Michigan State Capitol features a neoclassical exterior with a large dome and elegant design. It makes you think that it looks like a Medieval European building. Then, if you go inside the building, you can see so many sophisticated rooms.
