On Wednesday afternoon, I
visited to a farm called Mooville. It took about 40 minutes by car, and the
drive was peaceful. Mooville is located in the countryside, so the scenery on
the way was full of green fields, farms, and quiet roads. It felt nice to get
away from the busy town and enjoy the calm atmosphere.
When we arrived, we first visited the cow barn. The smell was really strong because of the manure, and honestly, it took me a while to get used to it. But it was interesting to see the cows up close. After that, we got to watch how cows are milked using an automatic milking machine. I was surprised to learn that one cow can produce 4 to 15 gallons of milk a day!
Later, we fed goats and alpacas, which was fun. After that, everyone enjoyed some ice cream. I ordered two scoops, thinking it would be a light dessert after lunch, but each scoop was much bigger than I expected, so I kind of regretted it just a little. I sometimes eat ice cream at the cafeteria or dairy store, but ice cream at the farm was much richer and not too sweet. It tasted really fresh.
Since I like
both the countryside and animals, this trip was a great experience for me. I’m
glad that I got the chance to visit a place like Mooville and learn more about
dairy farming.
