I stayed in New York for four days. It was my first time visiting the city. I went to Times Square, Central Park, Wall Street, the Statue of Liberty, and Rockefeller Plaza. All the places I visited were amazing and memorable. I could feel why people call New York the Big Apple.
I visited during the Fourth of July holiday, so there were special events and fireworks all around the city. One of the best moments in New York was watching the fireworks. I saw them from the Brooklyn Bridge, and the view of the fireworks was fantastic and beautiful.
The sky exploded with bright colors like red, blue, and gold, and the fireworks reflected on the water under the bridge. I could hear the loud booms echoing over the city, and I smelled the faint scent of smoke in the summer night air. I’ll never forget that moment.
Another memorable experience was eating New York thin-crust pizza. It was the best pizza I’ve ever had. The bread was quite crispy, and the toppings like cheese and pepperoni matched really well.
There were a lot of different tourists in New York, and I realized that the city is truly a melting pot. It felt like people from all over the world were living together. I could also sense the freedom in their lives, which made me feel a little bit jealous. -Alex
