The future of farming

We went to a farm named “MOO-vile”. There were cows, goats, pigs, and chickens. The farm was located about 40 minutes away from MSU by car. The weather was warm and sunny, perfect for a visit! When I looked inside the barn, I was truly surprised and impressed by how advanced technology was being used. One of the coolest things I saw was a robot that milks cows automatically. The cows walk into the station on their own, and the machine finds the teats and starts milking with no farmer needed! It even checks the cow’s health and keeps everything clean. The whole process seemed smooth and stress-free, both for the cows and the people working there.

There was also a robot that looked kind of like a big Roomba, cleaning the barn and pushing feed closer to the cows. It moved around on its own, keeping the space tidy and helping the cows stay comfortable. Seeing all this made me think that farms like this in which animals are well cared for, and workers don’t have to do everything by hand, might be the future of farming. -Sohei Takayama

Impressions of the East Lansing Art Fair

The American-style food from an American food truck, which was quite expensive and salty for me. From Dahyeon: I’d like to tell you something about the East Lansing Art Festival. There are so many things I’d like to share with you, but for now, I just want to tell you three of them. First of all, I am going to introduce the core of the festival, the booths. There were a variety of booths featuring jewelry, paintings, photographs, and ceramics. There are about 135 booths, so you're likely to find one that suits your taste. In Korea, the main purpose of the artists at the festival is to sell their artworks. However, unlike in Korea, I felt that the artists at this festival had another meaningful goal — to connect and communicate with others. Memorial Day Weekend by Suguru

Today I’d like to tell you about my weekend off , 25 May. First, Sohei and I went to Don Pancho which i s Mexican food shop in Lansing , and we ate some tacos . It was so delicious . A fter that, we visited the cemetery to learn about Memorial Day . When we arrived at there, I was walking around with searching on differences between The USA and Japan. Do you remember the first day of this semester? I definitely remember when I met each classmate for the first time. At the beginning of the semester, it was awkward to speak in English with my c My classmate lassmate b ecause they weren't Korean, and most of them were also older than me. However, as time went by, I realized that they are so kind, and I can learn many things by doing activities in our class.
